I’m pleased to present you with the July-August 2018 issue of the Journal of Global Issues & Solutions.

This issue begins with our Page One Feature Paper, “Science: Philosophy: Elements of Scientific Consciousness” by Technologist Tetsuo Kaneko of Matsudo-shi, Japan.  “A reality that the brain can understand for an object is not the same as the object.  However, the reality should be precisely qualitatively similar to the object in order to understand it suitably.  Hence, the brain should always demand to reconsider how a reality carried by a specific object can be understood.  For instance, we can question how a reality carried by either a cloud floating in the sky or a nebula generated by an astronomical phenomenon can be understood. Images caught for certain objects by eyes do not allow the brain to understand the whole complete realities of the objects.  If a cloud is magnified with a telescope, we can understand the contour of the cloud precisely.  The boundary between the cloud and the sky appears because of the phenomenon of scattering of light, which is made to occur by a lot of small grains of ice distributed in the cloud.  This fact makes the boundary become vague if we continue to magnify the cloud,” so the author states in his introduction. Mr. Kaneko goes on to point out the myriad ways our perception can limited, by size of the object under observation, by distance as well as by our very perception of reality. This thought-provoking paper challenges us to view our perception of reality from varied perspectives.

Next, Dr. Karl Schueler of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico presents a fascinating paper on the topic area of Medicine: Innovation: “Resonant Frequency Treatment.”  The author explains that “Frequency healing refers to a type of treatment developed in the early 1900's based on theories of resonance and vibration. Although color and sound therapies are also based on resonance and vibration, frequency healing is a therapy associated with specific signature frequencies” and goes on to point out the paradigm shift offered by this exciting therapy, discusses the findings of the pioneer researchers in this field, and discusses the suppression of this therapy by certain elements of the medical establishment. Dr. Schueler concludes with a review of current work in the field and various successes by Resonant Frequency Therapy. Altogether a very enlightening paper that presents hope for those suffering from a entire range of ailments.

In our following paper, Dr. Boghos Levon Zekiyan, Professor of Armenian Language and Literature at the University of Venice in Venice, Italy, offers his Commentary Opinion “An Attempt for a Restatement of Interethnic Questions.” Professor Zekiyan states “Questions related to the very conception of the principles, axioms, rules that govern the mutual relationship between peoples and nations are among the most troubling problems which, in the present world conjuncture, challenge our attention, and above all our human and social consciousness. These problems are often described, in equivalent terms, as interethnic conflicts.

“A great risk in this matter is that the rich or the so called advanced world and the great powers are normally inclined to look for solutions in function mainly or exclusively of their own interests without a general frame of theoretical principles and of seriously deontological behavior. Often they are also inclined, especially in the initial phases, to simply consider those problems and conflicts, even if though somehow subconsciously, either as of secondary importance or of no importance at all, just as Pope Leo X, when was at first informed of Martin Luther’s critics to the Roman Church, commented them as being a ‘quarrel of monks’, so to say, a matter with which to fill empty time.” Dr. Zekiyan considers the effects of Globalization, Fundamentalism, and the concepts of Nation-State from a historical perspective on through to today.

The July-August issue concludes with Part XIII of a special presentation in the topic area of Education: Life & Consciousness, by Naturalistic Philosopher Mr. Iain Kirkaldy-Willis of Spain’s Canary Islands. “The Nature of Thought” is an on-going series of visual presentations. The author explains that “the use of image/text presentations has been chosen as a stimulating, provocative and inspiring format for consciousness raising.  It is an approach that has evolved over the years from a wide variety of applications – as a gardener in Finland, piecing together a holistic agricultural approach to an adult educational community’s land and then making that part of that Folk High School’s curriculum – in use with villagers in the foothills of N. India, as a tool for awareness, healing and empowerment, in the face of socio-environmental collapse – in the designing of courses to meet adult needs for healing and change in the face of different kinds of personal crisis.” Excellent graphics and bright imagery vividly highlight this fascinating visual presentation.
